I hope your week got off to a good start. I know mine did! Not gloating. Just saying. Let me explain before you click away in haste and sh*t. My excitement will make more sense in a minute.
Yesterday I had a feature run on EBONY about my experience as a participant in their MANIFEST Discussion Series. The event was awesome and caused all sorts of introspection, which led to an article I’m proud of and believe is reflective of who I am on and away from the keyboard.
I was also featured on TheBlackManCan.org as part of their League of EXTRAordinary Black Men series, which consisted of a thorough and fun interview. You can check it out here.
Whether you’ve been riding with me for two years or two months, you know that I’m consistently striving to be better. I’ve spent days agonizing over articles, weeks lost in code, months figuring out how I can best use my talents and years being passed over for opportunities and/or kept out of the “cool circle.” But slowly and steadily, all the hard work is paying off. People are noticing and I can finally see a flicker of light at the end of the tunnel.
2012 continues to be an epic year and I feel like there’s so much more to come. I know I’ll have my fair share of challenges along the way, but I can certainly sense more good than bad. And as usual, I’ll let you know as things come up.
